Trade fair: our group is exhibiting — Adhesives & Bonding Expo Europe, 10–12 November 2026, Messe Stuttgart, Hall 1, Booth 1001. Details and appointments →
The need: You need seam tape or fabric bonding tape sourced for production, and “washable” in a quote tells you nothing. Here is what makes it verifiable.
Wash resistance is a cycle count under a named programme. Without the temperature, the detergent, whether tumble drying is included and how many cycles the garment is specified for, a “washable” claim cannot be reproduced — by you or by us.
The other half is your press window. Temperature, pressure and dwell on a trial press are often not what the production line can hold, so state the window your line actually runs and let the grade be chosen inside it rather than the other way round.
Send the wash programme, the cycle count, a swatch of the production fabric and your press window, and EJOY proposes a construction and ships samples for your own wash trial. Coating and laminating detail is published by the manufacturer.
Temperature, cycle type, detergent, and whether tumble drying is included.
Failures commonly appear well after the first few washes, so the number decides the trial length.
Water-repellent and other finishes change bonding behaviour completely; a generic test fabric proves little.
Temperature, pressure and dwell your line can actually hold. Samples ship free for trials inside that window.
The programme, the temperature, the detergent, whether tumble drying is included, the number of cycles and the fabric tested. Without those the claim cannot be reproduced.
Because finishes — especially water-repellent treatments — change bonding behaviour. A grade that works on a generic test fabric may not work on yours.
Tell us the temperature, pressure and dwell your line holds and we select a grade that works inside it, rather than one that needs a press you do not have.
The data sheet with press conditions, the wash-test report naming programme, cycles and fabric, seam-strength data before and after, and OEKO-TEX or equivalent textile declarations where your customer requires them.
You have to re-source or dual-source a harness tape and the quotes you get back differ by 40% with no obvious reason. Here is the information that makes them comparable.
See recommended tapeA rattle complaint has come back from the field and you need a damping tape sourced, validated and released before the next build. Here is what the supplier needs from you.
See recommended tapeThe drawing calls for an under-hood abrasion class and you need a tape quoted against it, with evidence an auditor will accept. Here is what to specify.
