Polyamide tape is specified when a wrap has to be both abrasion-resistant and quiet — and when the drawing names polyamide rather than PET for a reason.
Polyamide (nylon) cloth sits between woven PET and fleece: tougher than fleece, softer and quieter than a hard PET weave. European OEM drawings often call it out by name, which makes the sourcing question narrow — does the quoted grade match the construction the drawing assumes, and is there evidence for the class it names?

Standards: Woven polyamide backing. We hold no aerospace or defence approval and do not claim one: send the drawing that specifies polyamide tape and we state what we can build and what would still have to be qualified.
Where this grade sits in LV 312: Ask for tensile, elongation and recovery as measured values, not as adjectives, and keep them separate from any temperature class. If the drawing also carries an approval requirement, say so in the request for quotation rather than after the samples arrive.
Reading this table: each row is the range available across the constructions on this page, not a set of values that coexist in one roll. Backing, adhesive, temperature class and width are fixed together per model, so ask us to confirm one construction rather than combining rows.
Usually for a combination of abrasion resistance and acoustic behaviour, and sometimes because the OEM's own validation was run on polyamide. If you intend to offer PET instead, that is a construction change and belongs in a formal deviation, not in a quote.
Generally softer and quieter than a hard PET weave, but not a substitute for a dedicated fleece damping grade. Where noise is the main risk, say so and we quote both for comparison.
A data sheet that identifies the backing as polyamide, the abrasion report with its mandrel, and temperature data for the routing. Then validate on your own loom.
