The need: A rattle complaint has come back from the field and you need a damping tape sourced, validated and released before the next build. Here is what the supplier needs from you.
Nobody buys fleece tape from a data sheet — they buy it because a vehicle came back. That changes the sourcing question: the grade has to fix the specific contact that is making the noise, and the fix has to hold for the warranty period.
What the quote depends on is where the contact is, the bundle or panel diameter, the loft and width you need to cushion it, and whether the wrap also has to survive the zone’s temperature. A dashboard loom and a door loom are quoted differently.
Send the contact point and the zone temperature and EJOY proposes a loft and width, then ships enough length to wrap complete bundles rather than sections — noise usually appears at a transition, not in the middle of a straight run. Fleece construction is published by the manufacturer.

Soft PET fleece wrap that kills squeaks, rattles and vibration noise in vehicle interiors — also sold as felt, flock or anti-squeak tape.

The core wrap for OEM & Tier-1 automotive wiring harnesses — bundling, protection, noise damping.
ExploreA rattle sourced to the wrong contact produces a tape that works on the bench and not in the car.
Loft and width follow from diameter; the adhesive follows from temperature.
Partial wraps hide the transition where the noise actually starts. Samples are free.
Which vehicle, which road or rig condition, who signs it off. Without this the “fix” is an opinion.
Loft, width and length per roll, plus the adhesive the zone temperature requires. Give the bundle diameter and the zone and the quote stops being a range.
Ask for enough to wrap complete bundles, not sections — rattles usually appear at a transition. Samples ship free, so specify the length you need in the request.
No. Fleece is chosen for noise and conformability, woven PET for abrasion. If a bundle both rubs and rattles, split the bundle into zones rather than asking one grade to do both jobs.
Agree the acceptance condition before the trial: the vehicle, the road or rig condition, the inspection criterion and who signs off. Then record it — that record is what survives the next warranty review.
You have to re-source or dual-source a harness tape and the quotes you get back differ by 40% with no obvious reason. Here is the information that makes them comparable.
See recommended tapeThe drawing calls for an under-hood abrasion class and you need a tape quoted against it, with evidence an auditor will accept. Here is what to specify.
See recommended tapeYour EV programme needs the orange high-voltage wrap released, and purchasing has to produce the compliance evidence alongside the price. Here is how to ask for both.
