The need: Tape or printed identification is coming off in the washer and you need a durable replacement sourced, with samples to prove it before you commit.
Quote the wash, not the tape. Temperature, detergent and pressure decide the grade — hot alkaline detergent is what releases most tapes, so an RFQ that only says "waterproof" will be answered with the wrong product.
Also state whether printed identification has to stay readable. Bond durability and print durability are specified separately, and quoting only one of them is a common reason the replacement fails the same way.
