A flame requirement is a document problem: the grade either has a record that matches your drawing, or it does not.
Most flame-retardant tape quotes arrive with a standard number and nothing behind it. The useful question is narrower: which exact model, under which standard and edition, tested on which construction, and what does the certificate actually cover? A range-level claim cannot be checked by your compliance engineer, and it is the first thing an auditor asks about.

UL file E544340 (certificate UL-US-2552528-0, category OARC2) covers tape type Z1V020 — fibre backing with acrylic adhesive — under ANSI/CAN/UL 510A. It is not evidence for other models and it is not a UL 94 V-0 classification.
No. UL 510 covers specified PVC, polyethylene and rubber insulating tapes; UL 510A covers a wider range of component tapes, which is where our file sits. Confirm with your compliance engineer which one the drawing requires before comparing quotes.
Halogen-free and low-smoke grades are available. Halogen content is declared against a named test, usually IEC 60754 or EN 50267, and the declaration is issued for the model you order — tell us which test your specification names. It is a separate requirement from a flame classification.
