“Blackout” is not a specification: the useful RFQ states the light source, the leakage you can accept and how you will measure it.
Display and camera buyers rarely fail on opacity in the middle of a strip — they fail at an overlap, a die-cut corner or an aperture edge. That is why an opacity claim without a wavelength range, an instrument, a specimen stack and a threshold cannot be compared between suppliers, and why the sample has to be tested in the real stack-up rather than on a bench.
